The LibreVNA is a cutting-edge USB-based 2-port vector network analyzer designed for precision RF measurements from 100kHz to 6GHz. Featuring simultaneous dual-port sampling via 3 ADCs and FPGA processing, it captures 10,000+ measurement points in under 1 second. Encased in CNC-machined aluminum shielding, it achieves lab-grade performance with ultra-low noise and up to 95dB dynamic range below 3GHz.
Breakthrough Performance
- Ultra-Fast Scanning: 4000 points in <500ms (IFBW=50kHz)
- High Dynamic Range:
- Precision Engineering: 16-bit ADC + low-noise power supply
- Full 2-Port Measurements: S11, S21, S12, S22 parameters
- Multi-Platform Support: Windows, Linux, macOS (64-bit)
Technical Specifications
- Frequency Range: 100kHz–6GHz (±2ppm accuracy)
- Test Ports: 2× SMA female (50Ω impedance)
- Measurement Points: 2–4501 configurable
- Output Power: -40dBm to 0dBm (adjustable)
- Reference I/O: 10MHz external input/output
- Power: 5V/1.5A via USB-C or 3.5mm jack
- Additional Features: Spectrum analyzer mode, signal generator
Important Notes
- Performance degrades above 3GHz: Isolation drops to 50dB at 6GHz
- Reduced dynamic range at extremes: 70dB @ 100kHz
- S12 isolation is 10dB worse than S21 above 3GHz
- Output power decreases below 1MHz and above 3GHz
